Some people are not too thrilled about the black theme of Office 2010. The ribbon was introduced with Office 2007. With the ribbon, you now had the ability to change the color of the office programs' interface, from default blue, to silver to, glossy black. I, personally, hated how the ribbon looked. It was full of clutter, with too much going on in the ribbon. I though the black theme was the least annoying of the three colors, with blue being the worst.

With the release of Office 2010, the ribbon has been "repainted" and looks much cleaner. It is free of clutter, with a smooth gradient surface. The colors are no longer intense. The blue is actually calm and doesn't burn your eyes out. However, many people find that the black theme has actually changed for the worse. It is no longer black and glossy, but rather a muddy-gray color. It also makes text on the UI hard to see. I, at first, really did not like it; but, now, I am actually okay with it.

So I would like to hear your thoughts on the Office 2010 Black color scheme, or any color scheme for that matter. Do you like it or hate it? Do you prefer the Office 2007 color scheme or do you simply hate the ribbon and want to bite its neck off, that is if it actually had a neck. Anyway, I'm interested to see what you think.
