Usually more cores the better because it can perform multiple tasks at the same time. I'd say you to go with the i7.

dude I only want this for GAMES, I'm not gonna host a freaking website or render 5 movies at the same time, I just wanna play crysis on the damn thing. Thats why I was asking if clock speed really makes a difference...

Why the fuck you get so mad? People are just trying to help you. Both are OK for Crysis - the performance would be the same.

If you wanna max them out, i7. If you're just gonna play them on normal, i would still not recommend i5, more like a intel core 2 quad. My suggestion: Intel Core i7.
