I heard about 2 months ago that the person who ported The Android OS to iPhone 2G and 3G is now working on the iPod Touch Version (of coarse without the Calling Feature) this will be for Jailbroken Devices and you will be able to dual-boot both iOS4.x and Android. What do you think? |

No, why would I want to waste space for something I am not going to use. |

For me, the whole purpose of buying Apple's devices is to stay away from Android, not put it on hardware it's not really supposed to be running on. As mentioned, iOS does just have a polished feeling to using it. Android just feels a little clunky to me.. much like my old blackberry storms. It's the iExperience so to speak. Closed source has it's advantages to open source too. When Apple controls both the hardware and the software, boy it all just clicks. |

Why would you want to put Android on an iPod Touch? I think that Android is not quite ready to replace iOS, because it doesn't give you the polished feeling when you're using it, but I know that a lot of people are going to do it just to do it. It's a shame. I own an iPad, and I've never considered putting another operating system (or jailbroken system) on it, because it fits my needs, and I'd rather live within Apple's walls than go into the ocean where the sharks are. |

i have an iPod Touch 2G and it's becoming outdated. i'm considering replacing it with a new iPod Touch when they refresh the iPods this fall, or an iPad. i MIGHT install Android on my iPod Touch 2G once i get a replacement device just in case. i haven't had a ton of experience with android and i'm dying to try it :D. |

if I see a great app for android that I would like to use portably that works with no gps, camera and 3g. |
