This is not a real question but more of a public service to try and not to do on this site.

Due to the amount of times this happens, it made me to make guidelines on asking question.

When someone clicks "Ask Your Question" multiple times, the site receives some indigestion which slows down the site. Not to also mention a flood of the same question multiple times, causing the admins and moderators to frantically close (or delete) each question that is a duplicate that has been sent multiple times.

To prevent sending the same question multiple times, here is guidelines on what to do when you ask a question.......................

When asking a question, click the "Ask Your Question" once and let the page load. Do not click the "Ask Your Question" button multiple times. Clicking it multiple times will slow down the site and flood the same question multiple times.

Thank You.................. Have a nice day

It seems like a weird bug that needs to be fixed.

While the flood happened, the the pages could not be accessed. but there seems to be another problem with this. The site has no problem with many different users asking many different questions in a short amount of time but it cant handle the same exact question being posted multiple times.

Basically the site can handle multiple different questions but not the same question over and over.

Made the suggestion on OSQA's meta site, even including a quick patch I made. If Chris wanted to, he could make the changes to this site's backend himself.

Also, the same should be done for the "Post Your Answer" button.

That could work, as long as it provides a way for users to save their work (there have been times where I posted a question and it never appeared when I checked for it). The disabling of the button can help as a temp solution but eventually the true problem needs to be fixed.

This flaw can be abused by a malicious user. While there are no real ways to stop a human spammer, at least they wont be able to lag the site (preventing even admins from being able to do their job)

Or a bot that spams.
