I want to find an MMO that is kinda like World of Warcraft and is free (no Runes of Magic) and looks good. It must be free to play.

I agree best game i have ever played , and all the characters are balanced so it's all about how you build your character each game :)

yeah and the creators of the game and the workers of the company are always chatting w/ people on the forum and they also play w/ the community. Thats the only major videogame company that does that :)

And even though their servers go down , their up very quick and if they arent the user's get points for what they could have possibly earned

you could always try a World of Warcraft private server, and or for what Ive heard Archlord pretty similar to wow and its free, but then again wow private servers are free as well

That's still illegal.

After my WoW account was hacked(?), I was thouroughly disgusted with the game, Blizzard 'security', and so on. I stopped my subscription, and haven't looked back since. Right now I'm playing Dungeons & Dragons Online. Basic gameplay is free, but if you want higher level dungeons or 'adventure packs' you need a subscription. As my gameplay atm is casual, I stayed with the 'free' option.

Definetly check out DDO ( http://my.ddo.com/referral/giantkin )

I have met and played with several WoW converts. and all say that they love the free aspect of the same game. (enough free content and the 'paid' parts, you can earn toward, and eventually play them as well ...for free (takes awhile!))

I've been playing for over a year. (1.5 almost now) I ended up buying some points to become premium.

Different lvls of play:

free: 2 character slots. premium: 4 character slots (any amount of points) VIP: 10 character slots. (monthly cost (currenty $10/)

To play free forever... work on earning FAVOR. every 100 favor points, = 25 TP (turbine points, which is what you would normally BUY) use the points, to by QUESTS (when they are 50% off sale..ONLY I forget the break down...theres several sites that show the value of the quests, but you can play every quest within a year, if done right.

Enjoy!

nothing is as good as WoW, except maybe for the new MMO that blizzard is developing. i think a free server is your best bet and even then it wont give you the same amount of satisfaction as WoW does

I play Guild Wars at work. The game itself isn't free, but can usually be found for $10-$15 on sale. There is no monthly fee for playing it online, however. You get 5 character slots to start, more slots cost a little extra. There's a quite a bit of people playing it still, but nowhere near WoW numbers.

gaiaonline.com has a browser-based MMORPG... it's a tad childish *cough* but I have fun with it, and thousands (hundreds of thousands, even) play it too. I love that it's so customizable.
