Well, if you aren't a professional on HTML, then I highly advise using a service and uploading it to your site. I'm using wordpress, but there are others like SquareSpace and stuff like that. Give my site a look and see how you like it. I can help you out possibly in my spare time. www.techjohnson.com

Alot depends on your Business size, objectives and budget. One site I have found to be very helpful for small to medium size businesses is www.portalprodigy.com . It has a comprehensive list of features and it enables the user to easily update and change the content, look, feel of their website without having to know HTML or other programming languages. It has built in templates for Sales Catalogs, Order Tracking and Fullfillment, Billing, Memberships, Document Management and much much more. Easy to scale from simple website to a full blown very sophisticated marketing/sales tool website. Check out the site: www.portalprodigy.com They have sample sites based on their business website building software linked on their homepage. Their ownsite is based on it! duh :) pretty cool.

I use - x-cart - I paid somebody who was a student at a university to help it up and do some design work - I got a pay pal account and then added most of the content - looking at what the student had done and then copying the code I was able to add other links and develop it further - It works, however I had to wait for the listings to be picked up by the 'web crawlers' and it needed enhancement to improve goodle search results which I did by adding the search term words into the text/headers describing the items. I think it is pretty well optimised now with most items showing up on the first page of an Australia goodle search Regards Hugh
