Google Chrome. It's both fast and simple, more extensions are being developed every day and it's easy to use. Chrome also has a new feature that allows you to sync bookmarks and setting which I think is a killer feature. I'm currently Beta testing Firefox Beta 2 and I can see improvements in GUI and speed, although when it boils down to speed, Chrome easily wins hands down. I also feel the same about Safri. As for Internet Explorer, who uses it?

I think if everyone knew the benefits of alternative browsers nobody would use Internet Explorer.

You only need IE to install updates in XP not to browse the web. Updates are installed in Windows Explorer in Vista and 7.

I guess IE is good enough for the average user but IE is slow, unstable, has numerous security holes and it doesn't have extensions like FF and Chrome. I've never used IE and probably never will, unless MS bring out a reliable version.

Take IE out of the equation and you'd be left with a real coin-flip. Chrome is faster but there are still some web pages that have some functions that are incompatible. Personally I use Chrome as my default browser and switch to Firefox when necessary.

I prefer Firefox because I love the wide range of Add-Ons, and it works most of the time. I don't like the way IE displays webpages, otherwise I don't see a huge problem with IE. Google Chrome could be the worst web browser I have ever used. Slow to load pages, and crashes constantly.

Wow. You don't like Chrome. Please give it another try, it used to be buggy. Now it's absolutely amazing.

Oh, and try the dev and beta versions.

I prefer Google chrome, because it is fast and very simple. You can also use add-ons just like in firefox. It beats the others because it is very faster, it never crashes or has problems and it is very easy to use for people who don't know alot about computers.

Google Chrome, The reason is you can customize Chrome to reflect who you are. The speed is very fast, you will love the look and feel. Oh if you use Google sometimes or alot you will find Google Chrome very useful.

FF 4beta3 and IE9. Gave up on Google Chrome a long time ago, kept crashing. Tried Safari, left a very bad taste in my mouth like a rotten apple.
