I'm looking to buy a new printer. I have an HP photo printer, but it's quality is just so so. I'm looking for a printer that can print really killer looking color, fast. I'm pretty sure I'm in the market for a color laser printer? Which one should I get? There are so many... what are some of the things I should look for? Of all the things I'm knowledgable about, printers isn't one of them. DPI and Pages Per Minute is about all I get.. is there more to it than that?

PS: I rarely use the photo printing capabilities of my current printer, and it's probably not going to get thrown out either; So I'll have it if I need it.

Another thing to research is ink price. From my experience, the more you spend on a printer the cheaper the ink will be. So buying the cheapest printer you find might not be such a deal if you are paying about half of the price of the printer for a couple cartridges. Buying those online is also usually cheaper then your Wal-Mart or Best Buy.

Good tip, thanks. As much ink as I buy I hardly think about it.

I recommend a laser printer for speed but find the printer with the cheapest ink as it will save you money in the long run this is why I don't like HP printers.
