I have a camera with HDMI Out, and the cable to go with it. My computer does not have an HDMI input. What can I plug that into that'll recognize it as a webcam?

Even if you plug, its not always plug and play. Did this myself. Couldn't find any software or generic downloads to allow my equipement to do what I wanted. Get a hi res HD, Hdmi webcam and a motherboard with an Hdmi port and the software. Video cameras, flip cams, cellphones ect., have impossible software to find to run a simple video in, let alone show video on screen. I wonder if having your monitor already dvi into the motherboard or graphics card, shuts off or over rides the hdmi boards. When I plugged mine into my hdmi port, the device wasn't recognized in any way by the computer. I restarted with everything on and still nothing. Hdmi perminantly damaged unusable, my westinghouse lcd. Lcd monitor Dvi to hdmi into the computer worked but not any 2nd displays. Good luck. Probably need better gear, like me.
