[closed] Macintosh vs. Hackintosh?

I read an article yesterday that said if you want a high mac (Mac Pro) you should consider the hackintosh option. You can get better specs than the high end Mac pro for a lot cheaper.

Is this a good way to go? Not considering the legalities, and the fact that you're breaking Apple EULA.

How does this question violate copyright laws? Does Apples EULA suggest that it is illegal to discuss hackintosh? What rule does this question break? Why are discussions regarding hackintosh considered more taboo than discussions regarding (but not explaninig) piracy? Does discussing piracy 'pose a threat to the reputation of lockergnome.net'?

Don't do it. If you want a Mac, then suck it up and open your wallet. That's what I do, and it's well worth the money (in my opinion).

I'm not a huge fan of Hackintosh. From my experience it's a little quirky and vulnerable. I could go into a long explanation, but I now do not recommend it. If you're really serious about using Mac OS 10 as your main OS to run software, I'd save up and buy a real Macintosh. No headaches, and great support.

I know. I have tried on my Laptop, and it's glitchy and slow, so I "upgraded" to Vista.

I'm a big disliker of Vista, but I'd probably rather use that on a Dell laptop than a crappy patched up"Mac OS X"
