A US-British team of scientists has successfully tested a cloak of invisibility in the laboratory.

"... Next, the researchers placed the invisibility cloak over the copper cylinder. The cloak did not completely iron out the disturbance, but it greatly reduced the microwaves being blocked or deflected ..."

Does Radar Stealth Technology work in Cars & Motorcycles? I've seen the Mythbuster Episodes that busted nearly all methods to defeat a radar gun & ticket license camera.

Thanks for adding some interesting questions other then ones that are tech related. =P

Well I read something when I was in middle school talking about how scientists were creating a material that bends light. So I'm sure that in like 20 years there will be a material that bends sound.

He's asking about radar. =P

Thank you. I found some articles on 'metamaterials'. Very interesting technology. Invisibility & Radar Stealth would be an unfair advantage militarily.

Invisibility would be cool, but I imagine it would be restricted to military use only, since it could be used to commit crimes stealthily, avoid police, etc... I also think they will invent cameras/radar devices to detect invisible objects, or even implement these devices into contacts and glasses so that nothing would be really "invisible" anymore. Cool concept though, I always enjoy your questions Robert, keep them coming.

It probably will eventually, but not now. And if it ever does, it'll take a while.

I think they can! The special material they put on the (mistake me if I am wrong) B2 fighter jet. The ones in the pictures are covered in it to make it radar proof, and the diamond shape of it also helps reflect the redar. So if we can get a car thats very sleek and seamless its very well possible. For moter cycles... I suppose it would woke aswell we would just need it to be like the bat cycle.

It could work because it the angles and coatings that deflect/absorb the radar waves. So you could make a care shaped in a way that does this. But as far as a motorcycles goes my only thought is the driver would show up on the radar. Oh! and for car I don't know what you would do about the windows...
