You know that most people having W7 have it installed in the hard drive. So do I.

But there is a doubt I have when installing W7 in a VM. Does all settings (registry keys, folders, configs, etc.) of the W7 in VM are just the same as those installed on HDD? Or there is a little difference like there are not some keys on the VM that are on the HDD?

As far as the Windows installer knows, VM IS a PC. It can't tell the difference. The Windows installation will be identical to one on a physical PC. As I said, as far as Windows is concerned, it IS running on a physical PC. I would recommend Parallels 5 personally if you're going to use a virtual PC on a Mac.
