When Google Wave was first announced it had a lot of people excited. I for one was dying to get an invitation and eventually ended up getting one. Recently I have been able to get a few friends to use Google Wave regularly. Over the past few weeks we have seen Wave as a very useful tool for our purposes. With that being said Google; announced a few days ago that they are "pulling the plug" on Wave.

They have already halted development and plan to keep Wave available until the end of 2010. I know a lot of people never understood the usefulness of wave; and I think Wave was ahead of it's time. Personally I think Google didn't give Wave a real chance. It's barely been known for 2 years and public on labs for less. Anyhow, what do you think happened to Google Wave? Do you think Google should give it another chance or press the abort button?

As per noted by Google, "It was unpopular and did not catch on with the intended demographics"

After watching the big Google announcement of Wave, I think everyone was excited. They have been working on Wave for at least a year, and they thought it would be a big hit. Few people got accounts, and in my opinion, seemed like Google Wave had a lot of potential. Pulling the plug before even the launch was a horrible idea. They should have at least launched it before they pulled the plug... it seemed like they didn't even give it a chance.
