I am running Mandriva 2010. Since iTunes doesn't work on Linux, how do I sync music to my iPod?

You can use the internet to find some applications that do this.

I think if you are using an ipod and not the touch model, you can boot it as a hard drive http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1363

Try Banshee. It is an open source iTunes replacement designed for Linux.
Up to 2 attachments (including images) can be used with a maximum of 524.3 kB each and 1.0 MB total.
