I remember 2-3 years back RuneScape was the game to play. All my friends and even I were addicted, now it seems it's a ghost town. Have any of you ever played?

ITs been 6 years since I joined RS. Every so often I have a month or two of playing it after a break of 5 months or so. The thing you miss is knowing everything. Being a noob is fun. Like fishing at Lumby and banking it then cooking it and selling it or something. That was fun.

I think the GE was the main part of it. Too easy with stuff. It stops you from doing the same amount yourself

I have pretty much the same answer as anyone else here. I actually did play it when I was younger, and I was extremely addicted. After they trashed free trade and the Wilderness and moved to a communist economy with the Grand Exchange and all, I decided it wasn't worth my time anymore and I stopped playing. I log in every once in a while to check what's new, and they're apparently bringing back the Wilderness and free-trade again! I think that is a very good move, but it won't capture a large majority of the old players. I've moved on from RuneScape and I hope I never get addicted again - it's kinda lame :D

Most people are in the member worlds :) Try checking the server statuses, they tell you how many people play in a server :D

Personally, I moved to Mabinogi. It is a LOT better than Runescape, in a lot of senses. Really, Runescape gets old REALLY quickly.

I never really liked it, and at our school if people knew that you played it, well lets just say you wouldn't have any friends.

Ohh ho ho I cannot believe no one mentioned this. Anyone remember a year or 2 back when they destroyed the Wilderness? No more PvP. People rioted in Falador Square. Wore pink skirts. We all chanted to give us our Wilderness back. Didnt effect me because I didnt PvP, since I know if some newbie went their and lost his stuff he would cry and quit... Then all the minor changes they did finally got tiring so everyone quit

That was the biggest mistake. That and the trade changes.

Yeah the goddamn trading limit. 10,000 coin limit difrence was just stupid. I think the limit is 40,000 at most
