iPad YouTube app

Well I have been having trouble with the iPad YouTube app. For one it is really slow, I have a pretty fast wifi connection and I don't have any other problems on any other app, but on the YouTube app it is just slow. It could take up to 10 minutes to load a 3 minute video also the subscription bar on the side seems to not work, whenever I click on a subscriptions name it says YouTube not available.
If anybody has a solution to these problems I would be very happy.
