When you're watching YouTube videos, what do you prefer to watch it in?
1080p or 720p?
What is the best quality for you?
Do you have a 1080p screen or just a small one?

It's not if you only have a 720p monitor, that was the point of my question....

if thats what you where wondering..perhaps you should have asked "what is the resolution of your monitor?"??

well it depends on the bandwidth, if I have a lot of bandwidth, I will go 1080p. If I don't have a lot of bandwidth, I will go 360p. I want to have constant streaming video and not to hit in a buffer mode.

Sweet, this was the response I was hopping for from most people.
I upload 1080p videos to Youtube and was wondering how many people actually even care that it's 1080p.
Unfortunately most people just seem to want their video to load quickly.

well most people don't watch it full screen or even their monitor is not 1080p resolution.

Well it doesnt matter too much to me. I watch at most about 3 minute videos there (Excluding Chris' videos). So a few minutes of lower quality is not such a big deal. Plus I dont have half an hour to buffer 1080p

I tend to care more about it loading fast enough, rather than it being crystal clear quality. I use the HTML5 video player which loads h.264 video. I normally use 360p, but sometimes I wait for the 720p to load if I really want quality. With h.264 video (not the flash decoded one) I see no difference in quality from 720p to 1080p. It looks exactly the same on my screens, even in full screen mode.

If I were watching Youtube videos, I would prefer 720p, because I never watch videos full screen, because I'm always multi-tasking. Most of the time, you're pretty lucky if I watch your video, because I usually just listen to it, but if I heard something that sounded interesting, I'd pause whatever I'm doing, and check it out. That is the main reason why I prefer to watch the video in a lower quality, but when I do want to watch something in fullscreen, I'll always choose 1080p, because I want to get the most quality that I can.
