Well after seeing my sister play on her iPhone (Jailbroken). Ive been so inclined to jailbreak mine... Im due for an upgrade to iPhone 4 in November, and I guessed my iPod Touch and my iPhone will share a library. Will this affect my iPhone in anyway? Or do you think I shouldn't jailbreak my iPod Touch at all! Does Jailbreaking also have any downsides? This is all for my iPod Touch I would never consider Jailbreaking my future iPhone. All opinions are accepted thanks. |

You'll need to do a lot more research before you Jailbreak, because I can tell right now, when something goes wrong, you are going to be the person that gets frustrated, freaks out, and doesn't know how to fix it if something goes wrong. If you're just wanting to do this because you see your sister's tweaks and such, then you're not ready. You need to be tech savvy in order to be the right person to have a Jailbroken device. |
|
Well it depends, if you are satisfied with what you have right now, then stay with it. If you are in the need for more things, then you may want to consider jailbreaking, |

I have jailbroken my ipod..i have had it jailbroken for about 6 months now..do some research first..jailbreaking and getting apps from cydia is a little confusing at first There is so much more you can do with a jailbroken ipod or iphone..i love it. |
|
Yes. Unless, you don't want Cydia, Custom Themes, Non-Apple-Approved Apps, Way more functionaly, seeing the file system(if you want), and much, much more. |

If you decide to do it (I wouldn't), consider using jailbreakme.com, instead of complicated programs. You just have to open the site on the iPod and do it. Haha! You know nothing about Jailbreaking. They aren't complicated programs, they each used available exploits to insert the code through..changing your selection method. Star happens to use a userland PDF exploit. And its the latest one compatible with 4.0.1. |

I have done that before and the thing that you need to think about is if you run into a problem you are on you'r own. Also that if you do jailbreak you'r device if you purchased service from Apple you will loose that all together. Finally Do you really need to do that. If you are happy with the way you'r Iphone is know then keep it as it is. If you want more then Apple has to offer then go for it. Finally if you are going to jailbreak you'r Iphone then you need to make sure you do you'r homework on what way to do it first before you do anything. That is the best way to answer this question from my point of view. Others might think differently then I do. |
