hi,

I want to upgrade this computer (intel p3) , but the cpu i have at the moment runs on 1.65-1.75 volts 17.5w , but the on I want to upgrade to a celeron which runs on 1.5v 28.9-29.5w. will it be dangerous to run it or will it be fine???

ps they both run on socket 370

If they are designed for the same socket type as your motherboard and the motherboard supports the CPU type then it will be fine. When you turn the PC on, the proper voltage for the CPU is automatically detected so it will not over volt the CPU (unless you go out of your way to force the system to.
