I just got a pretty awesome case today for my iPhone 4, but I did not pick up a screen protector for the front. Should I go and pick one up sometime soon, and if i should, what brand/kind, or should I just not worry about getting a screen protector?

No, it downgrades the clarity of the retina display. There's really no need as it has an oleo phobic coating to keep from fingerprints. Currently my mom uses her iPhone and iPad without a screen protector, and I use my iPad without a screen protector, and all of those things I mentioned have an oleo phobic coating on them. And I actually thought it was pretty easy to scratch the coating, but really, it's pretty hard unless you intentionally take something sharp and try to scratch it.

I'm not a fan of screen protectors on any device. The last time I used a screen protector, it was the late 1990s and I was using a Casio Cassiopeia PDA that used a stylus. The screen protectors always started out great, if you took extreme care when applying them (otherwise, they'd looked horrible from the start) but over time I found they dulled and thereby obscured or diminished the screen. I can't imagine a screen protector that wouldn't diminish the beautiful fidelity of the iPhone 4's "retina display."
For my money, a good case is a must but a screen protector is little more than a hassle. Your mileage may vary.

I think you should get a screen protector.. get the antiglare one that also doesn't show finger prints like the others.. you also dont have to wipe it as much as you would normally.. then just put a regular one for the back.. it will get scratch.. I have one on my 3gs and I love it..

MediaDevil screen protectors are the best screen protectors I have used, and I have tried them pretty much all of them.
So much so I have contacted the owner of the company to ask if I can become an official distributor of MD products here in Denmark... That is how confident I am about them! I want to put my money where my mouth is :)
