Ok here is my dilemma. I have my computer and my dad has his. His computer is really old and what we want to do is just use my computer as both of ours. We want to pretty much copy my dad's hard rive onto my computer. But we want to be able to boot separately into each part of the hard drive. So what i am trying to say is is there a way to pretty much copy what is on my dad's hard rive and put it on my hard rive and then make make is part of the hard drive and my hard drive separate so we can boot into each partition? I am sorry if I don't explain myself very well. Any help would be much appreciated.

This might seem like cheating, but why not just install your dad's drive into the computer as an additional hard drive.
