OK so im downloading a very big file and it sais 6 hours left can i pause the download turn off my computer turn it back on (tommorow) and resume the download from where i left off if so please explain in detail step by step i switched to Google chrome from Firefox today its really REALLY fast

On the download bar at the bottom, click on the dropdown arrow on the download and click on pause. Unfortunately, you cannot close Chrome and shutdown, so the best is to pause and sleep the computer.
Another way if the downloads bar is not showing cause you close the bar or the window that it is downloading, type "chrome://downloads/" in the address bar and you can pause the download from there.

Use a browser called Opera, it's twice as fast as Firefox, you'll notice the difference. What happens is it sends your request to a server in the Netherlands, a really, really, really fast server. It then compresses it, sends the contents back to your computer, and your computer unzips it to view the content. So therefore, you'll have an extremely fast Internet connection, even if your computer is slow.
