The following poems are true feelings, and were written at the time the feelings were most powerful. My girlfriend recently broke up with me, and these were for her. The first one is when we were dating, then the last two was right after we stopped. A heart bestowed upon my bed, Leaves love forever since we met, A place that lasts forever more, Is the place I met you, where I adore, A hug that can describe it all, Love forever into which I'll fall, A piece of my heart lay in the dark, Until you came along and sparked the spark, I prayed a prayer to last forever, And so it seems this time stops never, I love you now, I loved you then, I won't stop loving you, because there is no end. 1,000 times I needed a hug, And you never hugged me. 1,000 times I needed your love, But you never loved me. 1,000 times I needed a smile, But you could never smile for me. 1,000 times I needed to hold you, But you would never hold me. 1,000 times I needed a shoulder to cry on, But yours was never there for me. 1,000 times I tried to make you happy, But you could never be happy for me. 1,000 times is not enough, So you drag more out of me. But 1 time to break my heart, And you never even stood before me. There lies a stalker in the night, The one who wants to make sure you're alright, His loneliness shines so bright, Just to make sure you live without fright, The smell of the cool sea hair, Lingers upon your hair, In hopes that your feelings come true, For that stalker truly misses you, May his spirit rest in the wind, For he forgive those who have sinned. Feel free to use these on you're crush if you want to. Something I've learned over the past few weeks, is that poetry will melt a girl. |

I do like, a lot. The first and third more than the second. |
|
The first and third seem ok to me. The second canvases an endless flow of tears from the otherwise still, boring lake of sorrow and pathos. To be frank, it's so boring you could slip it into a girls drink as a substitute for a date rape drug. On a more serious/helpful note: These things happen for reasons, it's not the end of the world, you have plenty of years left and there are plenty of fish in the sea. Treat it like one of lifes lessons and your next relationship will be far better. Sometimes the hardest part is working out what to learn from the lesson. Most girls will tell you if you ask them nicely, though. |
