The recently announced Axon Haptic is a portable tablet computer (that kinda looks like an iPad in some senses) which is capable of installing Windows, Mac, or Linux for 750 dollars. It shares many of the same ports as your average laptop computer and features a ten inch screen. Would you consider buying one?
