What Operating Systems can be used as a Virtual Machine.

And whatever ones you can, can someone possibly tell me how i can do this? I was hoping I could get a Virtual Machine such as Win. XP or something along the lines of that.

You can use about any OS there is on a virtual machine...if you are planning on using XP then either use Microsofts XP Mode virtual machine or get virtual box or Vmware Player, all of which are free..

Almost any operating system can be installed on a Virtual PC. There are programs like Microsoft Virtual PC, VirtualBox, Vmware that can make and run virtual machines. You can use virtual machine programs in XP, Vista, 7; you just need to have the lots of power, ram, and disk space to run it.

yes, you can. but it violates Apple's EULA, so i don't think we can talk about it here.

Almost every OS out there can run in a Virtual Machine, including Windows, Linux, and Solaris. However, running Mac OS X in a VM is against Apple's EULA, and won't work correctly as Mac OS X is made to run with hardware Apple puts in their computers.

If you're on Windows 7 Professional or higher and need Windows XP, consider Windows XP mode.

I use Windows XP mode on Windows 7 Ultimate... I love how you can start programs installed in XP mode without having to boot the OS :D

Pretty much every OS I have seen. Some may need more RAM Hd space, ect. If you are looking for a VM, I recommend using Sun Virtual Box. Never fails for me :). Your computer will have to be pretty strong to run a VM though. Good Luck! Kyle
