There has been a lot of debate lately on whether or not we should make the driving age lower or higher. What are your thoughts?

Well each state is different as we all know.... but I think lowering the age down for all the states will just put more immature kids who "think" they know how to drive on the road. I say keep it the way it is now, but increasing it a year or two will do the world good IMO....

I lived in Germany for a while, and they enforce a far stricter driver's licensing process. And I agree with it.
A German driver’s license costs over $2000, after a minimum of 25-45 hours of professional instruction plus 12 hours of class time -- and the legal driving age is 18 on top of that.
The thing is, even if we upped the driving age, the methods in which we issue driver's licenses would have to change as well. It's TOO easy to get a driver's license stateside.
