Chrome is an official well tested version of Chromium that Google releases.

The main benefit of using Chrome is that it is more stable and more reliable than Chromium. The benefit of Chromium is that you get updates almost every day. If I were choosing between these two web browsers, I'd have to pick Chromium, because it's the most recent version of Chrome, but I use Safari as my main web browser, because it's fast, takes up very little screen space, and it fits my needs.

Chrome is the web browser and Chromium is the longer name of said browser. It is also the name of the web-based operation system (Chrome OS - for short)
