I'm seeing Segways in use around town. (Police Parking Meter Patrol, Shopping Mall, Golf Course, Microsoft Campus, etc.) Does anyone have Segway experience? How fast are they? Are they too Geeky? How long does a full charge last? Is it hard to drive? Would you buy/own a Segway? Any additional information website would be helpful. Almost 10-years ago, in 2001, Dean Kamen announced the arrival of the first self-balancing, zero emissions personal transportation vehicle: the Segway® Personal Transporter (PT). Founded on the vision to develop highly-efficient, zero-emission transportation solutions using dynamic stabilization technology, Segway’s research and development was focused on creating devices that took up a minimal amount of space, were extremely maneuverable and could operate on pedestrian sidewalks and pathways.

I would buy one just because they seem fun to ride. Though I have never ridden one. When i was on vacation there was a place where you could drive a Segway around and the people driving them didn't seem to have a problem driving them but the line was way to long to get in.
