I have been following (some what) the antenna issue on the iphone. I know a case is being provided with the phone to address the issue. Should I be concerned at all if I'm considering buying one? |

Not at all! As long as you're in an area with a strong signal, you are fine! |

Nope, you should not be. This is a normal effect of all cell phones, in fact many cell phones from others like Nokia have come with instructions and even stickers on how to hold a phone so as not to lose signal. This is nothing new, even the iPhone 3G and 3GS had this problem. the iPhone 4 has shown to have a drop rate of 0.5% higher than the iPhone 3GS at most. As well, this effect seems to have only been reported in the USA. The only time the "death grip" happens is in low reception areas, and most users have not been able to recreate this effect when held in this specific grip... this includes Consumer report who original could not replicate it during normal use, but later could only within their labs (for whatever strange reason). |
