Is it illegal to throw away a pet after it dies? A friend wanted me to ask this. I didn't ask him why. :|

Hi, I find this a little sick. A poor animal deserves respect just like a human. Tell your friend to bury it. Say some nice words over the grave and maybe plant a flower.

When ever a pet dies in my house, we always dig a hole and place them inside with a plant ontop of them to rember them by. That is just the right thing to do.

So maybe a better question for you is this. If you was a pet how whold you wish your masters "dispose" of your body?

I normally dig a hole too...but i never thought about the plant thing. I'll most likely start doing that now. 8) I just hope I don't have too many new plants because of this...that'd be depressing...xD

There are plenty of insensitive bastards in the world. I have dogs and they are part of my household. Were my wife and I to divorce, I would have to pay support for The Boys- and alimony, after the bitter custody fight.

Dogs and human beings have enjoyed a symbiotic relationship for 6 thousand years. Dogs and people get along better than people and people. F**king amazing.

I have always had my dogs creamated, and scattered the ashes.

We did that with my dog, but since she was especially close (this may sound a little weird), I am having her ashes buried with me.

Whenever a pet dies in our house , we usually bury it in our garden. I think it's nicer than throwing them in the bin, I think its quite insensitive but I suppose that is your friends choice.

If it were illegal, then a lot of people would be in jail for flushing pet fish down the toilet, pet rabbit in the trash, pet guinea pigs, etc.

Dead Non-Pet Animals are usually handled by Animal Control ...
