OKay..i have heard of SQL..i..but can somebody just give me a simple explanation of what it really is?..and whats its used for? Im really curios. Would it be worth learning how to "use" future?

It is basically databases. They are kind of like Excel Spreadsheets in a way. They are used on lots of websites to keep track of user accounts, passwords, IP addresses, and all that stuff.

SQL stands for Structured Query Language. It is a language for querying databases. Example:

SELECT FirstName FROM tblPeople WHERE tblPeople.LastName = 'Smith'

It means, "Show me the first names of everybody named Smith."

SQl is best used with php to get data from tables.

wtf? That's an overly broad and vague statement. There are types of SQL that are appropriate to types of applications. When money is a major factor, people use free stuff like PHP and MySQL. When they have money and need performance and reliability, they go with either .NET and MSSQL, or JAVA and Oracle.
