As i've said before, i have a netbook for when im on the go and because my laptop is rather heavy to be carrying it around everywhere. So do you think i should remove the anti-virus because it could be quite slow? What have you done on your netbook? |

I personally don't have a netbook, because they are pretty much only good for basic web browsing. I think that you should remove Windows from it, and you should replace it with Ubuntu, because Ubuntu is a very secure operating system, and you won't need to run virus protection on your netbook. You will notice that your netbook will be faster than when you were running Windows. |

I don't have a netbook but you should still keep an efficient, resource light anti-virus installed on it. This way, You ensure a virus won’t slip through. This is especially important if you’re a heavy email user who receives lots of email attachments. Netbooks are still PC’s after all & are still capable of getting a virus infection. |

As netbooks are basically not good for anything rather than browsing the web you could (as some pointed out) replace it with Ubuntu as it's a Unix-based OS, which is a very secure one (OS X is also based on Unix). Then you won't need any anti-virus programs. You actually won't lose anything as netbooks are poor on performance. |
