I recently got my first car that I can call my own and not share with the family. It is a white 2009 Ford Focus. And my parents asked me what I wanted to name it. Any ideas?

So what name did you decide on, Craighton?

I just got a new dog and named her Binary. Depends on how much you want to declare your geekhood.

Congratulations on the new car. I got a car when I turned 18 and drove it for 14 years. I never named it, though. I did name my Ford Escape Hybrid which we bought in 2006; by then, I think my family's habit of naming vehicles finally rubbed off on me. Mine's named "Kira" (I'm a Trek geek and loved DS:9). My brother's Ford Mustang he named "Betty". My Mom's Camaro she named the Scarlet Lady (yeah, it's red) and my Dad's Mustang GT he named "Sophia". As with ships, it seems feminine names are most popular/fitting for vehicles, at least in our family.

I named my boat "The Mistress". But no vehicle Ford has ever made it suitable for that name. Only Chevy's

Your boat's a Chevy? ;-)

Haha, eh no. But as far as actual cars go, Chevy's are the only ones that can handle that name.

What about Super Fordy??!! I am just being sarcastic here.. Once you drive it, the car will tell you the personality and maybe you can name it for its personality.

My friend has named his cars to sound like the actual name of the model.

Ex: Ford Taurus = Doris; VW Jetta = Jenna.

So Focus... Jonas? Honus?
