I prefer my bacon somewhere in the middle, where the edges are crispy, but the center is greasy and soft. BACON FTW!!!! OM NOM NOM!!!! (<~~~ (User is eating bacon)

Crispy around the edges yet nice and soft in the middle, just how it should be. I love to dip it in maple syrup as well. Strange? Maybe, but it tastes awesome ;) Plus I live in a small Canadian farming village, so I get fresh bacon, not store bought stuff. Truly the best, IMO.
