Hi All, STEAK, How do you eat yours. Thats is the question. I Cut off its Horns and Wipe it's Ass. Then eat it for Breakfast. What are your taught's, Chisum |
I like mine Well done with just a bit of pink but not too much. And i like to have it with some A1 steak sauce. |
I like mine medium. If it's any more than that, it tends to be a little too dry for me. Any less and it seems like I'm eating raw meat. My favorite is in the morning with eggs, toast and hash browns. |
Medium rare done, with just a bit of blood , too much done and it tastes like leather too little and I feel like I'm eating something alive :p |
I like mine medium well, no blood but not a hockey puck either. I tend to smother it in whatever BBQ sauce is available |

When I was in graduate school in Food Science, we did a study on this. First we asked people how they liked their steak. They were all over the map -- everything from well done to extremely rare. Then we did a taste test, and gave them samples of steak cooked at varying degrees of doneness. Their preferences matched what they said on the survey. Then -- and here's the interesting part -- we did the taste test under red light, so they couldn't see what color the meat was. And EVERY SINGLE ONE of them preferred Medium Rare! |

WELL DONE!!.... i dont want ANY pink on my meat... |

This question as destroyed my Karma Points. I was quoting President Teddy Roosevelt. But some people got offended by the word STEAK? :-] I would like to apologies to all the people I offended by quoting One of America's great men. I will NEVER make this mistake again.
Very rare. < 3 Min on each side, please. I also prefer Porters to any other cut and I fancy a great steak for breakfast with eggs and potatoes. And yes, I know God knows how many vegans and PETA members are swooning about now. How sad....
