It seems like Apple has to be working on a new operating system for their Macintosh computers, yet I can't even remember how old Snow Leopard is? Is it already time for a new version, or do you think it will be another year or so?

Snow Leopard was introduced at WWDC 2008 and released a little over a year later on 28 August, 2009. Apple is always working on the next new version and the version after that. They have many plans and many features to come such as NFC, an entirely new 3D based UI scheme, social networking features built directly into the system itself, iOS / Mac OS X combined into a single form for devices like their newly patented iMac like device that changes between the two OS forms automatically by the position the screen it is oriented in.

Mac OS X 10.7 has been spotted on web server logs since around November of 2009 and again around February of 2010. Steve Jobs at the introduction of Leoapard in 2007 said they planned to get a new major update released almost every year and OS X has at -least- another 10 years (2017). So far this has not transpired.

Apple came out with Snow Leopard in the last week of August 2009, I think they will probably come out with another version within the next year. Snow Leopard was more of a small upgrade then a whole new os, i think the next one will be a major upgrade.
