This is old news. At E3 Sony announced that they would be introducing a new service called Playstation Plus. This is where users can pay every three months or a yearly fee for discounts at the PSN store, free games and demos, early beta access and automatic updates that will run through the night downloading game patches and content. You will not have to pay to play online. alt text
