Well Google finally lets you make calls through your gmail (if you have google voice). So do you think that Google Voice will (eventually) kill voice over IP services like Vonage?

From what I've seen with Google Voice so far it is pretty impressive. I haven't used it yet and put it to the test but I think it's going to become the choice of service over services like vonage and magic jack. Google for that matter is just going to take over the internet lol. Brilliant minds they are. Powerful they will become.

I don't know about kill them, but it's definitely awesome! I have a couple Google voice numbers...WAY cool!

I like all the voice mail features, the "Listen to live voice mail"....and well...too much to comment on.

With all of the success that Skype currently has, I don't think that Google is going to be number one any time in the near future. I know that a lot of my friends aren't going to switch (they're the ones who will only use IE). I think that I might give it a try, but I don't think that I'll fully switch over to it any time soon.

Yah but google voice is free (if your calling inside the US) and it's becoming more and more like a voice over ip service
