I want to know what you think because I think it's annoying. Think about it this way what if right as you saw this question you said "Yah... Um, that questions a fail". Wouldn't that piss you off?

Epic Fail are only annoying to people when they hear it a lot. Because we are filled with trolls in our lives and they insist in using that everyday. So it is only old because we over use it.

I think, like most words, they're fine in the right context and with the right audience. They're most effective when used in moderation.

Yah but the only time I've actually thought it was funny is when me and some friends are making fun of people who say it "Epic Fail" high five

Ah, yes, the double whammy of "Epic Fail" -- I'd forgotten they can be used together.

Yah and that's mainly what I'm taking about. If someone just says (hypothetical) "My project was a failure". I'm okay with that.

Epic and Fail sound stupid when spoken amongst the wrong audience. For example at work, only 3 or 4 of your 20 person team may game online and understand what the hell you're talking about. The rest will just assume turrets and ignore it.

Dude still drives me crazy to this day though. I'm not a cowboy.. so please don't call me "dude". ;)

Thank you. I hate when people say it and they think they're funny. But its all good cause we mock everyone who does it. "Umm? Yah that's like an Epic Fail." (mockee) "Yah like Epically" (mocker)

Cowboys say dude? That would be your ghetto street gang type that uses that word.

What gets to me is when people use the same phrase over and over. Like one of my teachers. He can't stop saying "as we go through it" or "as you go through it" or some sort of derivative of that, and he says it multiple times per class, and it is both annoying and funny. It's annoying because it's freaking annoying, and it's hilarious because you can try to keep track of how many times he says it per day. He also is addicted to doing a little "shh" after like everything he says. That gets me cracking up sometimes though!

What used to always get to me was when teenage girls would say LIKE all the time. "Oh mah gawd, that is like totally like almost like my like dress that I like got at this one like garage sale, like right?" -_-

Are "EPIC" and "FAIL" annoying?

Yes.

However, not as annoying as "BASICALLY".

Yes It's extremely annoying. 99% of the time people say epic fail it's for something that is not epic at all. And what's with the obsession over failure? I mean people don't go around saying epic success.

Yah but that picture is funny all by it's self it's not like the words epic failure have anything to do with it. It's Homer Simpson!

For me, it really depends what kind of mood I'm in. If I'm in a good mood and willing to joke around, etc, then it's okay. But if I'm in a crappy mood and I want to punch someone in the mouth, I'll end up punching the first person I hear say "Fail" or "epic" in the mouth. But I'm hardly ever in a bad mood, so there.
