If you want to record it via HDMI, it wont work since the device has HDCP (high bandwidth digital content protection).

You can use something like a RCA Splitter http://www.amazon.com/Cables-Go-40650-Female-Adapter/dp/B000M52X62/ref=sr_1_2?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1282799194&sr=1-2 and a RCA capture card

http://www.amazon.com/Easycap-USB-Video-Capture-Adapter/dp/B001BWU8US

The downside is that it is recording only at best 480i video, not 720p.

If you want to get a 720p picture recording, there is http://www.newegg.com/product/product.aspx?item=n82e16815116030, These are designed for gamers recording gameplsy.

I think a capture card is the best way to go, I have heard a dazzle is the best...

Stay away from dazzle if you want to be recognized on youtube - the quality is too subpar. You need a capture card, so just look for a cheap one of those.
