Is there anywhere I can purchase a downloadable copy of Windows XP Pro for cheap and dual boot with Windows 7 or anywhere to download Windows XP I know Microsoft does not support XP anymore but I am running Windows 7 Home Premium and do not have the compatibility mode and I figure it would just be easier to get another copy of XP.

Microsoft still supports Windows XP SP3 until 2014. They just don't support XP with no Service Packs, SP1 or SP2.

Good point you would be better off doing that, if you only need certain features / programs.

Windows 7 does have a compatibility mode, but it depends on what programs you are trying to run. You need to right click the program in question - select Properties - Select Compatibility Tab - Tick check box "Run this program in compatibility mode for" -then select the version of XP you need. Click Apply then OK
