Hey Guys I was wondering if you people would be able to tell me a way to block selected websites in Windows Vista. Also I would like to be able to do this with out and additional software that I would have to buy. Also for example if i blocked www.youtube.com and the user of the computer gets a link to a youtube video would they be able to watch it because they are not going through the home page, or would the blocker stop them? |

Windows Vista – How to block websites using parental control http://blogmines.com/blog/2007/06/13/windows-vista-how-to-block-websites-using-parental-control/ and http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Set-up-Parental-Controls Also, there are services like OpenDNS that can do it to your network, see more at http://opendns.com or possibly you can set specific computers in your network to block, refer to documentation online for your router. |

There isn't a full way to block sites. People use web proxies to be private. |

Open dns is the best and most fully featured way of doing this like Kevin said, web proxies will bypass opendns but the average Joe using your computer will probably not know how to use one (or at least not think of using one) |
