Agg............. It's called rush hour people, lets try to move along a little bit quicker now... Ya feel me? |

The more people you have on the road, the greater the chance of at least 1 idiot ending up in each lane. So you are trying to rush home but you end up with a idiot in front of you, going 15MPH on a 55MPH road so things will move slow. |

Rush hour is the term when people try to rush home and with many people trying to rush home, the traffic is slow. i know, its just ironic in a way.. Look up the meaning of irony, it's not irony! Perhaps a tad oxymoronic... 1
Although as an afterthought it's not at all, the word rush does not mean to go fast, it means there is an influx of people trying to get somewhere...like razor said the more traffic on the road the slower it will flow. Even if there is no accident, it will still be slower with more traffic. My 2 cents. rush means to go fast, get real. I'm refering to the real world meaning, not your robotic dictionary definition of it. Rush means to be in a hurry. i.e. I'm in a big rush to get to work because I'm running late. exactly, rush means to be in a hurry. To hurry means to be going fast. So by extension, rush means to go fast -.-
