Should I upgrade my CPU?

I currently have a Core i7-920 Bloomfield 2.66Ghz processor in my P6X58D Premium motherboard. The core i7-930 2.8Ghz would not cost me very much difference if I sold my 920 to upgrade. Do you think it's worth my time and effort?

Could you list out some of the things you do on a fairly regular basis...for example Photoshop?

I will be getting photo editing software and video editing software. I have an HD camera that I use to take a lot of video but haven't done much with yet.

Hmmm....maybe you should wait a bit....then if you feel you need extra power...go for it...but to be honest...I don't think it will be worth it...

If you actually need that extra little bit of power and you can sell the one you have easily, then it's worth it. But if you're okay with what you have now, or it would be hard to sell, I'd keep it.

Keep in mind, CPU's aren't a very easy thing to sell unless you go on Ebay. But if someone is gonna pay close to what it's worth if they get it from Intel, they're gonna do that.

So if you try to sell it, your asking price will have to be substantially lower than what Intel sells it for.

Good advice. I'm pretty sure I can get good value on it. In the end the 930 might cost me about $30 out of pocket.
