I have my laptop that i want to add my home monitor bc I need like more stuff to work. like a software that could help me. I have the cable whatever that named is. when i connect it just goes to the other monitor i want both to work. |

There should be a Function Key that toggles the display output:

the Cable is either VGA (usually blue tip) DVI (white top) or HDMI. In Windows go to your mobility center or display settings to refresh to identify monitors. Also there is a simpler way. Usually on most laptop, there is a function key (usually named FN) and when holding that, there is a monitor symbol on the F 1-12 buttons) |
