I'm looking to get the new Apple TV for a few reasons. Here's why: Right now, I pay about $100 a month for cable. If I got the Netflix plan where you can watch as much as you want, I would only pay $9 a month for that. If for some reason there were things not on Netlfix, I could go to apple and rent it. I would still save money as long as I used a reasonable amount of rentals. But before I do all this, I wanna know how long it takes for new episodes of TV shows to be put on Netflix. Any flaws in my idea? Any suggestions? More reasons why I should do this? Let me know! Thanks! |

The Apple description says that they are available to download the next day. |

Netflix does not put videos of TV shows up until the season is over. Also not every show is available for streaming and even then not every show or movie is available for HD streaming. I have Netflix keep your cable, for now at least. Also you can watch live Tv like sports, news, other that you can't ever get on Netflix. If the apple TV could stream Hulu you would have a better shot at doing this, but it just not worth it right now for you. |

For example, the vampire diaries JUST appeared on Netflix and it's only the first two seasons. They have a lot of shows that have been cancelled. But all in all for eight bux a month, worth the buy. I love hulu plus I watch it all on my iPad I don't have cable. If its not on hulu, Netflix, hbo go, then I buck up and watch it from the NBC app, abc app, cw app... And if I still can't find it, or I just can't wait till the next day for it to usually b on hulu, then I buy it from iTunes or on my phone from amazon on demand. Hope this helps! Jae Lynn

I use Netflix, Hulu Plus and Amazon prime for all of my streaming needs. It has everything I care about covered. But Hulu is better for shows. They post the episodes the day after they air. |
