I have been tasked with setting two or more projectors for mutlimedia presentations and they want them wireless. I have contacted vendors such as Dell and they state that wireless is no problem however I can only run one projector. Has anyone tried this and if so with more than one projector. If so and you were successful, what method(s) did you use?

Yes. I've setup multiple projectors for many clients' needs.

  • Select a Laptop/Desktop to drive the presentation
  • You may need to buy a Matrox Dual Head2Go or similar (Laptop Scenario)
  • Control Presentation wirelessly via VNC, Remote Desktop, etc.

You can also use separate computers & projectors to drive multiple presentations independent of each other. You can still control the presentations wirelessly.

I understand your theory. Need to make sure we're on the same sheet here though. The projectors themselves will receive the signal from the laptop wirelessly. No cables will run to the projectors.

  • There would be wires connecting in the example above.
  • If you wanted no wired connection, then use Projectors with wireless networking capabilities. Some projectors only run certain presentation files internally, and/or differences in what you can do wirelessly (see the specs of the projectors)
