I always use Windows live messenger and I wanted to ask if there is a third-party software that I could use? Something customizable maybe? I want the software to work with my existing hotmail address. |

There are many 3rd party software that lets you use hotmail and other services like google talk, Yahoo instant messenger, AIM, etc.. One is Pidgin http://www.pidgin.im/ Another is Trillian http://www.trillian.im/ Another is http://qutim.org/ Or just Hotmail http://www.amsn-project.net/ |

There are programs that are on some linux distros that have such software, or you can get from the software manager in said linux distro. like Pidgin thats on Ubuntu/Linux mint. |
