I have Pages on my. IPad and want to get Keynote and Numbers. Is getting the rest of the apps worth it? I just do light editing on my iPad then port over the files on my Mac for more detailed word, and presentation editing.

Yeah, it's good when you're in a bind. For creating a deck, it works well enough - but I wouldn't go as far as to say it's worth $10.

Apple were being cheeky with the price.

I mean i guess if i was a skateboarding accountant-ninja or exec-ninja who absolutely depended on travelling really light - having the iwork collection for iPad would be quite useful.

However Numbers and Keynote are a bit fiddly and still work better on the desktop.

Pages is, the other two possibly if you are in the road, or need to make some quick presentations. Right now I only have pages, but have the complete iWork suite on my Mac, I have not felt the need to make a keynote will sitting on the couch.

tbh i havent found Numbers or Keynote of much personal use.

Pages has been good, I prefer using it to write up notes and ideas over Notes.app.

Im hoping to see iLife make its way to iPad... GarageBand !

Not really. It didn't include enough of the features from the desktop application.
