Is the "Mac Mini" really wearth the money, for what it is?

My thoughts are, it's £500 odd, and that's around the same type of price-range for a Laptop. Basically, what you're paying for, is a Laptop; maybe even better; as at lowest - it's 160gb.

Yeah, not to sound nasty, but you should change your spelling and I'd recommend getting the 300GBish one not the 160GB, it might get full quite easily... Thanks... :)

Yes, I have a 2GB one and I Like it... I even bought the new Wireless keyboard and magic mouse, It must be good, Chris Pirillo uses one to stream... It's very compact... If you got the money, I'd recommend getting the Wireless keyboard and magic mouse and a Apple Cinema display, that would be really cool...

You have a 2GB Mac Mini?

(Aug 15 '10 at 23:17) DanielHep DanielHep's gravatar image

I think that it is good if you want to start with the mac OS. In that sence it is worth it so you get the OS on a PC without paying huge apple prices.

Even though I have the older version of the Macbook, the white one, I would love to have a Mac Mini. I like the fact that it is not a laptop, but not a tower, like the Mac Pro. But to answer your question, yes, the Mac Mini is defiantly worth the money.

If you were going to use it for intense applications; e.g. video editing then no I don't recommend it. However, it is good for viewing HD videos, browsing the internet and stuff like that. I wouldn't recommend it for professional work.

The server is worth it, in the terms of a multimedia server.

Well, I can't say much about it, but from what I've experienced it's pretty great! It's small, it's powerful, it's handles all regular people uses a computer for on a daily basis. It even is great for playing World of Warcraft!
